Kabuki Scarab Lost in Translation. Aug 18, Sara rated it it was ok. All images are used with permission or are permissible under fair dzvid. The main character, Kabuki, is one of a group of eight female assassins called The Noh who wear iconic masks and stylized costumes. Some of the pages are works of art in and of themselves but macj it was too much and just difficult to read. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I love the author but the book itself is so hard to read since pages are just falling out.
Ukiko’s scarred but emotive face is hidden by the fixed expression of her Kabuki mask where allies and opponents alike must read information onto it. However in his attempts at stepping outside the comics-box, it becomes a bit muddled. Refresh and try again. I’d highly suggest picking this up. It would be hands down the greatest, classiest, most cerebral action movie ever made, putting even “The Matrix” to shame In fact, I’m rather surprised they bothered making something OTHER than this film in the first place, as I doubt they weren’t inspired by it, and wouldn’t be surprised if they did some day; maybe they just didn’t want to be too obvious?
